Rhipsalis – Micrantha

Rhipsalis Micrantha

Rhipsalis Micrantha is a beautiful and unusual epiphytic cactus, admired for its graceful, branching growth and succulent green stems. The stems are slender and often three-angled, creating an interesting architectural shape as the plant develops.

As the plant matures, the stems become increasingly pendulous, forming a lovely cascading display. This makes Rhipsalis Micrantha an excellent choice for hanging baskets or raised containers, where its natural trailing habit can be fully appreciated.

Delicate, small white flowers appear along the sides and edges of the stems, creating a charming contrast against the green growth. These flowers may be followed by small, rounded white berries, sometimes developing a reddish colour towards the top.

Rhipsalis Micrantha enjoys bright, filtered light or partial shade and a well-drained growing medium. As a rainforest epiphyte, it appreciates regular moisture and humidity while still benefiting from good drainage.

A wonderful addition to any Rhipsalis collection, Rhipsalis Micrantha combines unusual succulent stems, graceful cascading growth and delicate flowers, making it a fascinating plant for collectors and plant lovers alike.
