Rhipsalis – Prismatica

Rhipsalis Prismatica

Rhipsalis Prismatica is a fascinating and unusual epiphytic cactus, admired for its distinctive branching habit and beautifully structured stems. The longer lower stems are rounded and cylindrical, while the shorter upper branches develop attractive angular, almost faceted segments, giving this Rhipsalis its unique prismatic appearance.

As the plant matures, it develops a dense network of branching stems that gradually become more arching and pendulous. This makes Rhipsalis Prismatica an excellent choice for hanging baskets or raised containers, where its unusual form and cascading growth can be fully appreciated.

Small, delicate white flowers appear along the stems, adding a beautiful contrast to the green growth. These charming blooms may be followed by small, rounded fruits that range from white to soft pink, providing additional seasonal interest.

Rhipsalis Prismatica prefers bright, filtered light or partial shade and a well-drained growing medium. As an epiphytic cactus, it appreciates humidity and regular moderate watering during active growth, while good drainage is essential to keep the roots healthy.

A truly distinctive addition to any Rhipsalis collection, Rhipsalis Prismatica combines unusual prismatic stems, graceful branching growth and delicate white flowers, making it a wonderful choice for collectors and plant lovers alike.
