Rhipsalis – Paradoxa

Rhipsalis Paradoxa

Rhipsalis Paradoxa is a truly fascinating and unusual epiphytic cactus, admired for its distinctive chain-like stems and graceful trailing growth. Its pale green stems are made up of alternating, three-angled sections, creating a unique zig-zag appearance that gives this Rhipsalis its wonderful character.

As the plant matures, the branches become increasingly pendulous and can form long, cascading clusters. This makes Rhipsalis Paradoxa an excellent choice for hanging baskets or raised containers, where its unusual chain-like growth can be fully appreciated.

Small, delicate white to creamy flowers appear along the mature stems, adding a beautiful contrast to the green growth. These charming blooms may be followed by small, attractive fruits, providing additional interest throughout the season.

Rhipsalis Paradoxa prefers bright, filtered light or partial shade and a well-drained growing medium. As an epiphytic cactus from the forests of Brazil, it appreciates good humidity and regular moisture during active growth, while excellent drainage is important to prevent the roots from remaining wet.

A truly special addition to any Rhipsalis collection, Rhipsalis Paradoxa brings unusual texture, graceful cascading growth and an eye-catching chain-like form to your home or garden.
